I am unaware of the slapping, although technically that would be touching someone's face I suppose. I too received a number of emails. My article however was based upon a newsletter and careful checking of various sites to confirm each tip as posted within this post. Whether Dr. Vinay said slapping I do not know.

Also, eliminate sugar from your diet as it greatly impairs your body's immune system. Boost your vitamin D IU to 2000-6000, depending on where you live and if you're breastfeeding (research it beforehand to know how much you should take).

If you get a virus, oregano oil is a powerful anti-viral and anti-bacterial. Elder flower and olive leaf extract are also very helpful.

Businesses in the US and bloggers cannot tell you this, insanely enough, because US Federal law and a newly created Swine Flu Task Force has been given the authority to shut the business down and even throw owners in jail for spreading this information. In fact, the writer of this blog might receive a similar letter from the FDA as did the famous Dr. Andrew Weil here: http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/EnforcementActions/WarningLetters/ucm186837.htm

Apparently, the government is threatening people who are even suggesting that certain natural health remedies can help prevent swine flu. What's the motivation here? Do they WANT people to get sick or do they just want them to think they have no recourse but to get a vaccination?

Last week, the text here was forwarded to me in the form of an email. The email version contained this interesting variant:

“Hands-off-the-face” approach except to eat, bathe, slap, etc.

Because the email came from my parents, it caused me to smile and recall all those happy times from my childhood.

Your comment that N95 respirators are not effective as a barrier to H1N1 or other viruses overlooks the fact that the viral particles are mostly found on nasal and respiratory droplets from sneezing and coughing rather than as individual virus particles. These droplets are much larger and effectively blocked by N95 masks making them fairly effective

I appreciate your suggestions in the prevention of the spread of this disease. However, I would expect that someone so well educated and knowledgeable would use the correct term which is H1N1. The World Health Organization changed the name in April. The damage that this incorrect term has caused the pork industry will likely take years to reverse.

I received this information by Dr. Goyal via e-mail. In the point refering to “Hands-off-the-face” approach except to eat, bathe, etc. instead of 'etc.' it indicated 'slapping'. I'm curious to know whether 'slapping' was included in his original lecture. Slapping someone is more important than protecting against the swine flu?
